Avid S1 - What Are Normal and Channel Modes?
Trash
This video was incredibly useful
when i load my second ipad, as a "slave" to the S1, it goes into soft key mode only - not metering mode. Any ideas?
Testing tape emulation on a voiceover??
Can you get the mathematical function that transforms the input signal? I want to design the wave shaping inside the tool and then use the function in python. Any idea what tool can help me with that?
kinda confusing for a starter, but it'll be nice if I can figure this out.
Brilliant idea TALKING OVER THE A/B part of the video.
What a wonderful thing to share. Thank you! Have you tried importing the audio file then opening smart tempo and applying region tempo to project tempo? I think the result is the same. No need to line up the upbeat of the audio file to a bar first. I say this because you still need to do this after applying region tempo to project (and Keep Tempo) when lining up to bar later.
Looking back in 30 years 1) the monitor of the compressor will not be working 2) there will be 10 engineers left to look back
I don’t know but my mac just can’t handle native instruments kontact… i just trie to load up 3 instruments but he just crashes logic. I think my mac is just not good enough for music project.
It seems that this interface is discontinued!??? After only 2 years Presonus is ditching one of the best multi-streaming solutions. Instead of creating a pro version for musicians with better preamps better connectivity. I am really losing trust in Presonus since Fender acquired the company.
crash a lot, luckly I did not purchase it
Thank you for this fine tutorial! Please let me know the name of the song you are you working with in this Tutorial. I like it and wonder if it is possible to buy it somewhere?
Una poronga atómica.
Just i cant get TOA format in Halo wnen in used it with Nuendo..I just get FOA in 3rd ambisonics
can you use the knob for adjusting de output volume?
All from a hot chocolate can WOW
1:15 did you route those instruments from busses into Smart EQ, or is it "detecting" by virtue of how you set it to listen? If so, I'm assuming Smart EQ is sitting on the Master out in this scenario?
Good stuff!
2.0
I usually use the left or right arrow, both always work, if my edit in/playback start position (if both are linked) is somewhere out of sight. The I'm back to center. But never thought of the combi Down+Right (or Down+left). Thanks for the tip!
I have 2 questions: if you have UAD plugins is the console using these or do you need to buy these again? And if you can use already bought / licensed plugins how does the console find / integrates these? Thx! 🙏
24 years of PT and never knew this existed! Cheers!
Watched on the Expert page, came here to like and comment. Good job.
Arrows Up/Down are really useful when you need to edit a music with no clearly visible transients! Thanks a lot!
EZ Drummer 3 is fantastic. Just a few days ago I had the exact same idea of combining the Synthwave Exapansion with an acoustic set and it sounds absolutely brilliant.
I bought it recently and it does not work for metal at all. I even used DI signal. Not even close. Total waste of money.
Hello James. Do you know if the Mac Pro Tower 7,1 supports AVB as I have Pro Tools Carbon device runninh Ultimate. Currently it's running in a M1 Ultra, but I don't like it as I have 4 screens and the M series machines don't much like that.
thanks great demo
Brilliant Mike! Thank you! I have many old SD2 sessions from the late 90s, early 80s. 🤞🤞
'bird noise' can be a blessing....
everything sounds great, but I think the drummer needs a different snare drum it just didn't sound good in the mix
很早就买入了,确实很不错呢
Resolve/Fairlight has been a great compliment to my main daw. Even just a small dip into video can have a nice effect on your music. A nice little jog of inspiration. Also, if I ever run into a problem plug-in on my main DAW, I can just boot up fairlight and it usually runs and I can get what I need and bring it back over.
Absolutely brilliant reverb. Very good algorithms, good presets and very intuitive and easy to use and tweak. Very good and effective ducking.
thank you! :)
Just placed an order for one. Can't wait!
I would also like to know who sang this song. Your technique makes it sound even better. Informative video. Thanks.
Any test with lynx aurora.
I was sleeping on this 😮❤
Would this work live or does it indroduce to much latency? Do you know anything like sooth for live performance?
Every now and then I'm creating a vid with Davinci Resolve. Right now I'm behind cutting a vid of one of our concerts as a Duo. The audio was (is) not that good and I tweaked it a little in Logic Pro X. During cutting I thought what's about that Fairlight thing. I gave it a try and couldn't believe my eyes and even more, my ears. I found instantly some 'knobs' to adjust and i was speechless. After a search in YT I came across that vid of you. It convinced me to start learning more about Fairlight and I'm very positive that soon I will improve my mixing process. Great vid and very convincing! Cheers...
ah,..bs,...nobody does -14lufs ,...loudness war is back and it's disgusting,....now again the who has more money for better analog devices can get that 1-2 lufs louder masters without artefacts,....other ones like we ar,e are just suckers
Nice one, but as a Cubase user, I couldn't see an action or macro that I could not achieve with Keyboard Maestro and Stream Deck, and it is much cheaper. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thank you! I watched a bunch videos looking for this answer. Thanks again!
Could some of the sound difference be frequencies in cabinet? Sounds to me that if 2 sides of the cab’s ring were treated, what i think i hear as internal frequency activity going on would be reduced.
How do you not put the URL in the video or in the comments? lol
